Join NHMA for an Informational Webinar on Hazard Mitigation Planning
NHMA’s Hazard Mitigation Planning Committee invites you to join us for an informational webinar on hazard mitigation planning on Friday, January 25, 2013 from 1:00 to 2:00 PM EST.

This webinar is being offered as a follow up to NHMA’s recently released white paper titled “How to Improve Local Hazard Mitigation Planning.” The objective of this paper was to document common challenges and to make several key recommendations for improving local hazard mitigation planning nationwide. It was prepared by NHMA’s Hazard Mitigation Planning Committee and is based on the contributions of many individuals who participated in monthly committee meetings and other discussions throughout 2012.

The webinar will feature a brief overview of the white paper by Erin Capps, co-chair of the Hazard Mitigation Planning Committee, as well as opportunities for other key contributors to further expand on their observations or recommendations included in the paper. Following the presentation, our moderator, Darrin Punchard, will open the webinar to all participants to share their own thoughts, questions or ideas on the subject of improving local hazard mitigation planning.
