The Community Planning and Capacity Building Branch at FEMA is hiring! I’m hoping you can help me identify several candidates for this important position that will help us build a stronger focus on our capacity building support efforts for local governments.  We have been building and recently piloted the Just in Time Recovery Management training and are working on other efforts to support localities.  We will need staff to help us conduct outreach, develop additional training and tools, and facilitate field support and training of local officials. We would like to leverage your networks to help up identify some experienced local officials who would like to apply their expertise to help other local officials build recovery capability in their biggest time of need, during post-disaster recovery.

We are not advertising this position through USAJobs as we would prefer to work directly with association partners to recruit the best candidates.  Let me know if this is something that you can distribute or post, or if there is an alternate venue I could use to post this job announcement and get the word out.

This GS12 CORE position is based in D.C., but the selected candidate will be working across the country to support post event capacity building engagements.  The starting salary is $86,335 for 2020.  The position is open until November 27th.

Interested candidates should submit a resume and any supporting materials via email to: fema-actionoffice-recovery-icd@fema.dhs.gov  by COB November 27, 2020. Subject line should read: CPCB Branch Program Analyst
