The FID R&D Council’s Academic Engagement Subcommittee invites you to a presentation by Dr. Eric Tate, an Associate Professor of Geographical and Sustainability Sciences at the University of Iowa. Using models called social vulnerability indicators, Dr. Tate studies how natural hazards such as hurricanes and floods affect some populations more than others. Please join us for his presentation on social vulnerability and flooding.  We’ll reserve time for questions at the end of the presentation.
