Event sponsored by UH HuRRI.
While we face continued uncertainty with COVID-19, there is no doubt that we need to address flooding and resilience to hurricanes and severe storms in our region and across the state. The Texas Water Development Board has had an expansion of their role in flood planning from the Texas Legislature and Governor Abbott.
We invite you to join us on August 27 from 12-1:30 to hear from the Water Development Board about the regional flood planning process and their planned first state flood plan that is slated for completion by September 1, 2024. The panel will address all aspects of the planning, implementation and financing of the state flood plan.
